A musical journey through wintry landscapes to three places in Russia: remote and mysterious Valaam, sacred Zagorsk and a resurrected cathedral in Moscow. All of them now central to the revival of Faith within the former Soviet Union. Music by Stravinsky, Mussorgsky and Australia’s Russian-born Elena Kats-Chernin is played by the SBS Radio & Television Youth Orchestra conducted by Matthew Krel.
